We’re proud to share that Toru Digital has been named a Digital Champion by Digital Northants ahead of this year’s Merged Futures event.
This recognition celebrates our recent partnership with the University of Northampton, where we hosted a two-day hackathon for computing students. An experience designed to give future talent hands-on exposure to real-world digital challenges.
But for us, this award isn’t just about one event. It’s about how we work.
From the very beginning, Toru has believed that great digital solutions come from real collaboration with clients, with communities, and with emerging talent. Being part of the Digital Northants community since 2019, we’ve always aimed to contribute with intent, whether that’s exhibiting at Merged Futures, mentoring students, or building platforms that make a difference.
This recognition means a lot because it reflects what we value: people, progress and shared purpose.
Why It Matters
We don’t see community involvement as a side project. It’s built into how we operate. Our team genuinely believes that if we want to lead in digital, we have to lift others with us; whether that’s by supporting new voices, sharing what we know, or helping someone take the first step in their career.
Being named a Digital Champion tells us we’re on the right path and pushes us to keep going.
