What is Content Marketing?

Content marketing can be defined as any piece of content that is produced and distributed by a brand. This content is traditionally distributed via social media, and is designed to be both valuable engaging and relevant to an audience.

How is Content Marketing Different to Promotional Material?

Content marketing is more creatively complex than simply listing services or products, and rather than directly promoting a brand it instead centres around providing valuable information to an audience or stimulating interest in the brand or product as a whole through helpful tips or educational blogs/videos.

Key point: Content marketing is best achieved through engaging pieces that hold audience retention and provide value, with the aim that through this customers are more likely to consider your services over others, ultimately driving profit.
