What is Conversion?

A ‘conversion’ is defined as a completed action a visitor takes on your website. This action is variable and set according to the target goals you wish for a visitor to complete. These goals are normally set to be profitable to a company, whether directly or indirectly.

How Do You Track a Conversion?

Once your customers have received your marketing messaging, you wish for them to complete a desired action. Coding can be embedded into your website that lets you track a visitors actions through your website, allowing you to set a custom goal and measure when that goal has been completed.

Key point: Conversions are measured by custom goals you set. These goals can be many number of things, such as a purchase, a download of your free e-book or a sign up to a newsletter.
