Business To Business (B2B)

What is B2B?

B2B stands for business to business, and refers to transactions between businesses (as opposed to between a business and a consumer).

Examples of B2B

B2B interactions are commonplace in the manufacturing industry, with examples including automobile or tech build (where a business will purchase equipment, software or services from various manufacturers and integrate it into their product). In SaaS (software as a service) transactions, if the end goal is optimisation of an organisation rather than an individual, the interaction can be regarded as B2B.

Key point: The seller and buyer are both businesses.
