What is Lead Generation?

A ‘lead’ is any individual that has expressed interest in your products or services. ‘Lead generation’ is the stimulation of this interest from prospective clients.

How does lead generation work?

Lead generation is often the first step in the sales funnel, and is the beginning of the lifecycle of an individual's transition from a visitor to a customer.
Lead generation is recognising who has interacted with your products or services (via downloading a free e-book after reading your blog, following you on social media, signing up for a 50% off coupon etc) and identifying strategies to convert these individuals into paying customers.
